Spring 3 on 3 league

​Ages: Players currently in grades 6 & 7 (2007 & 2006 birth years)
When: April 23, 30, May 7, 14, 21 and 28 (6 weeks)
Times: 6:00 - 7:30 PM (Girls) & 7:30 - 9:00 PM (Boys) *
Locations: 
St Francis Xavier Catholic H.S, 3740 Spratt Rd, Ottawa**
(April 23, May 7 and May 21)
&
Sacred Heart Catholic H.S,  5870 Abbott St E, Stittsville **
(April 30, May 14 and May 28)
​Cost: $109 + HST
*times will flip each week – week 2 the boys group will go from 6:00 - 7:30 PM

Why 3 on 3?
  • Players touch the ball more (greater involvement)
  • More room to maneuver and be creative
  • Easier to grasp concepts like: spacing, cutting etc.
  • Greater emphasis on skill and learning HOW to play rather than strategy 
  • It's fast-paced and places a premium on decision-making
  • It's now an official Olympic sport​!
League Format
  • Register as an individual (not as a team)
  • First week will be a sort-out to balance teams​
  • Concept and/or skill work for the first 25 - 30 min.
  • 1 hour of 3 ON 3 gameplay every week
  • Round robin style tournament followed by playoffs
    ​on week 6 (May 28)

  • Winning team in each division will have their entry fee paid for the Naismith 3 ON 3 Basketball Tournament in Almonte (in August)
  • Intentional focus on player leadership and problem solving
  • All games will be referee'd
