Ottawa south basketball novice program
Ottawa South is proud to continue to partner with Right Way to offer separate 6 week Spring programs for boys and girls age 7 and 8. The program is open to small ball players who are moving up next season to play Novice, as well as existing age 8 year old novice house league players who need more opportunity to develop.
Sessions will run on Wednesday evenings and will be limited to 18 players. Each session will be one hour, and the boys and girls will each alternate their start times (one week start at 6:00 pm the following week start at 7:00 pm).
The program will focus on 3 on 3 play, with the first half of the hour used for a warm up and to teach a concept, and the second half to apply the concept through play. 3 weeks will focus on simple offensive concepts; spacing, ball movement, and player movement. 3 weeks will focus on defensive concepts; playing the ball, playing away from the ball and working with your teammates.
Session Schedule:
Wednesdays
April 3, 10, 17, 24 at St Jerome School on Spratt Road
May 1 and 8 at St Francis Xavier Secondary School at Spratt and Limebank Road.

Our son has loved playing basketball this year! You have been a big part of why he’s loved it so much. You make the game exciting, fun and challenging. You’ve really done an awesome job!
