MIKE KENNY
PRESIDENT & FOUNDER
Mike Kenny, is the owner and founder of Right Way Basketball. He has grown up around the game of basketball and that passion for the sport still burns strong to this day. As a player, Mike was a High School All-Canadian and went on to captain the Carleton University Ravens Men’s Basketball Team that won 3 Canadian Interuniversity Sport (CIS) National Championships during his career.
Once his playing days were over Mike channeled his energies towards helping others learn the game. Taking his invaluable experiences as a player and camp director while in university, Mike has transitioned to basketball clinician, trainer and coach. Currently a certified teacher, Mike is fulfilled by helping to mold, instruct and lead the next generation of basketball players and coaches.

Aaron Harvey
HEAD COACH
Aaron developed a passion for basketball early in life and that continues to grow to this day. He played varsity basketball throughout high school and then went on to play varsity football at Carleton University. Aaron believes strongly in the multi-sport athlete development philosophy, and that sport is an opportunity for character growth and personal development. The value of sport in a young person’s life can be overwhelming.
Aaron has spent the last 20 years as a high school teacher and basketball coach in Ottawa. He has experience working with athletes ranging from 5-18 years old. He is currently a Train 2 Train certified basketball coach, as well as NCCP FUNdamentals certified. Aaron currently coaches for Ottawa South Basketball and brings a wealth of experience in camp, and clinic settings.

Callum Mackinnon
HEAD COACH
Callum has spent his whole life around basketball, and dedicated himself to the sport both playing and coaching. He played competitively for the Nepean Blue Devils along with the John McCrae Bulldogs and has been coaching with Right Way Basketball since 2018. Callum has coached a variety of teams such as; u14 rec/selects, u14 all stars and, u13 AAU with Dream Basketball Canada.
Callum possess a unique ability to connect with a wide range players and personalities and finds great joy in being part of the development journey for so many young players in the region. Callum is currently attending Algonquin college, studying Police Foundations. He is looking to increase his positive impact in the community, and constantly finding ways to improve as a coach on the court and mentor to youth off the court.

Oksana Gouchie-Provencher

Oksana is a dedicated and passionate coach with Right Way, bringing a wealth of experience and knowledge to the team. Her coaching journey began in March 2023, after a successful NCAA Division 1 college career at Stony Brook University, where she honed her skills and leadership on the basketball court. She then completed her eligibility at the University of Ottawa and even ventured onto the professional basketball scene in Australia during the summer of 2022, enriching her understanding of the game.
In addition to her coaching, she is committed to furthering her education and teaching ability by completing her Bachelor of Education Degree at the University of Ottawa. Her goal is to become a certified teacher for the 2024-2025 school year, using her passion for sport and mentoring to positively impact students' lives, both in the classroom and on the court. With a strong foundation in both the game and coaching, she is excited to contribute to Right Way's success and help nurture the next generation of athletes and scholars.

HEAD COACH
Heidi has been coaching with Right Way since 2017. She grew up playing basketball competitively throughout middle and high school. Always looking for ways to learn and improve, Heidi is also committed to giving back to the community and helping others to learn the sport that taught her so much. She believes that basketball is a means to build relationships, stay active, challenge yourself as well as others and build character on and off the court.
Heidi is currently studying Human Kinetics at the University of Ottawa. She has coached club boys and girls at various levels and currently leads the novice development program for Ottawa South (OSBA). Her goal is to help players to develop both fundamental skills and character which is essential for success in basketball and in other aspects of life.

SEAN STOQUA
HEAD COACH AND INDIVIDUAL TRAINER
Sean is a current Usports student athlete at the University of Ottawa playing in his final year of eligibility for the GeeGees basketball team while completing his Masters degree in Physiotherapy. Sean is an alumnus of Acadia University, where he graduated with a degree in Kinesiology while playing both basketball and football for the Axemen for 4 years.
Sean has several years of experience coaching youth basketball both in Ottawa and Nova Scotia working with Rautins-House basketball school as well as with Acadia summer basketball camps. Sean also helped coach a youth basketball team named the Kentville Wildcats in Nova Scotia, while offering individual training sessions for players in the off-season. Sean’s goal is to help young basketball players improve their skillset on the court as well as share information on how young athletes can improve their athleticism and avoid injuries in the process.
