​Ages: Competitive players in grades 5 & 6 (Atom) & players in grades 7 & 8 (Bantam)
When: April 8, April 22, April 29, May 7 (Thursday), May 13 and May 20
​(6 sessions)
Times: 6:00 - 7:45pm (Atom) and 7:45 - 9:30pm (Bantam)
Location: St Francis Xavier Catholic H.S, 3740 Spratt Rd, Ottawa 
​Cost: ​$115 + HST
Why 3 on 3?
  • More touches of the ball (greater involvement)
  • More room to maneuver and be creative
  • Easier to grasp concepts like: spacing, cutting etc.
  • Greater emphasis on skill and learning HOW to play rather than strategy 
  • It's fast-paced and places a premium on decision-making
  • It's now an official Olympic sport​!
Overview:
  • 30 minutes of skill/concept work followed by 75 minutes of 3on3 gameplay
  • Learning how to compete in different situations (new teams every week, rules constraints to focus on various facets of the game)
  • Active coaching and feedback for players
Areas of the game to be covered:
  • Spacing to score
  • Creating and maintaining advantages
  • Footwork on the catch
  • Basic screening and handoffs
  • Reading different game situations
